語言哲學家維特根斯坦（Ludwig Wittgenstein）於1928在奧地利-歐洲都市近代化的先驅城市維也納設計了他唯一一座住宅-維特根斯坦之家，他將其明晰、嚴密的哲學思考在此建築上完整體現，然而維特根斯坦並沒有受過職業建築師的教育，但他於對機械和技術問題的強烈關心，發展到在哲學上追求精密的思考，在建築上對空間和細部追求極限的態度，從而藉由空間形塑的過程：既技術—構造—秩序三位一體，因而完成了可視的哲學裝置，其中最值得玩味之處是以一位哲學家的思考出發，獲得了“徹底的數學性”，這不僅著眼於建造的形式和材料，而是維特根斯坦對“精密”近似於瘋狂的追求。

Ludwig Wittgenstein之街屋計畫-市場之家，將藉由進入一棟位於老舊城區中的三層街屋，進行裝置物件的實驗與空間共構的各種形式，另一方面，也將探討裝置語言的轉化與非正式展場的空間運作，並嘗試在為期一年的營運時間中發覺與開啟此類型空間的多重面貌及可能性。
